Auto-Zip™ Stud Tensioners
Incorporating ZipNut technology, the tensioner is installed as one unit. The spring loaded thread segments allow the tensioner to slide over the protruding stud threads, eliminating the time consuming task of threading the puller nut in position. The AUTO-ZIP™ puller nut is self-aligning and slides over damaged threads.
During tensioning, the AUTO-ZIP™ puller nut functions the same as standard thread-on type puller nuts; allowing the hydraulic piston to retract and securely seat the tensioning unit on the flange.To remove AUTO-ZIP™ Stud Tensioners simply squeeze the hand-grip release. This retracts the AUTO-ZIP™ threaded segments and allows the unit to be lifted off the stud.
