Contract Bolting Services
It's no surprise that FASTORQ also provides the tools and trained personnel to do the job right the first time with precision, speed, safety, economy and full documentation. We have completed major bolting service jobs for companies such as TurboFab, Solar Turbines, FMC, Versabar, RTI, Heerema, Exxon Company U.S.A., Chevron Chemical Company and the Chinese Petroleum company, to name just a few.
Specifications and Procedures
Contract bolting jobs begin with an on-site analysis of the work to be done. Then, in consultation with the customer, FASTORQ personnel develop and document procedures for installation of bolts and/or removal of bolts. Each bolted joint is assessed as a system. Bolt size and material are considered in addition to gasket type, pressure and temperature of the process, and operating conditions. Finally, the work is executed following the procedure to obtain optimum results.
Documentation
Once the job is complete, customers receive detailed information about each bolted joint. FASTORQ maintains a computer database containing job results on work performed by our bolting service crews. Each bolted joint has its own Job Data Sheet, which contains information such as bolt size and condition, gasket type and material, lubricant name and manufacturer, torque or tension values, time of completion, and any notes that apply. Because the information is stored electronically, it is always available for future reference.
